A Slow but Sunny Week - Week 34
This week has been pretty slow again, but honestly, I’m not complaining. It’s been filled with small things that together made it really enjoyable.
At the start of the week, it felt very similar to the last two, calm and steady. I worked a lot on school assignments and my own side project, which I’m happy to say is now officially done. I’ve been building a YouTube credibility analyzer called Trustcheck, and two weeks of work, it’s finally up and running. It feels great to finish someting.

Swimming and gym sessions continued as usual, but nothing too crazy this week, just keeping a good routine. I’ve also been selling more of the stuff I bought earlier this year, and both of the treadmills are finally gone. It feels nice to clear out some space.
The biggest highlight early in the week was on Thursday when I had my second round of RA interviews, this time with Father Griffin, our university’s priest. I think it went really well, and hopefully, I’ll secure a position as an RA for next semester. After the meeting, I squeezed in a swim and lift session, met one of the new recruits for the team, and spent some time hanging out with friends.
As the weekend rolled in, things picked up a little. A good friend helped me sell one of the treadmills, which I really appreciated. Afterwards, I helped her take the doors and roof off her Jeep, definitely a first for me! Since the temperatures have been rising, it felt like the perfect time for a little road trip. We ended up by the local creek, which is a popular spot for Wheeling students to hang out and jump off a small cliff next to the highway. The water looked a little sketchy to me, though, so you definitely won’t catch me jumping in! But it was fun to watch and just be part of the atmosphere.
Later, I went out for sushi with some friends. The sushi itself was just okay, but honestly, the company made it more than worth it. It’s moments like these that I know I’ll miss when I go back home.
It was also Easter this week, and I was lucky enough to celebrate both Easter lunch and Easter dinner with friends family from the swim team. I’m incredibly thankful for these experiences, sharing meals, laughs, and good times together made it feel like a second family. Plus, it was a very welcome break from the usual cafeteria food in the “B-room.”
All in all, it’s been a good week. Nothing huge happened, but I’m really trying to make the most of my time left here. I’m soaking up the warm days, the small moments with friends, and everything in between.
